Caledonia State Park - 2021

This was our first trip to Caledonia State Park in Pennsylvania. Caledonia is located in South Central Pennsylvania need Chambersburg, PA. It’s surrounded by Michaux State Forest. The Chinquapin Hill Campground has something for everyone from primitive tent camping to full hook up RV sites. There are a few fairly large RV sites but extremely large rigs will not fit. There are a few bathhouses which are extremely clean. Chinquapin Hill Campground was closed for the entire 2018 camping season for renovations which included new shower and restroom facilities. Hosack Run is a separate smaller campground in the park. We took advantage of a few of the many hiking trails in the park and did in fact hike a very small section of the Appalachian Trail. It’s a beautiful campground and a fantastic place to visit and explore.
