Yankee Boy Basin, Ouray, CO

This was our second trip to both Colorado and Utah. We revisited Lyons, CO for a second time exploring local hiking trails and Rocky Mountain National Park. Neither disappointed. This is one of our favorite areas of the country to visit. We added Ouray, CO as a stop on this trip and were thrilled that we did. Simply stated Ouray is incredibly beautiful with an abundance of hiking and exploring opportunities. We did some off-roading, Jeeping as some call it, which offers views of the landscape that most travelers do not see. We love getting off the well worn tourist paths. Revisiting Moab, UT for the second time we did return to Arches National Park hiking some trails we missed on our first visit. We also visited Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse State park both of which were spectacular. Moab is pretty much the off roading capitol of the country so we ventured off road with our truck once again exploring some areas not visible from the the roads and highways.
